Hi, I'm Elizabeth
I’m the designer behind every Sensory Parachute™ and founder of The Baby Class Expert. With over 20 years’ experience leading baby and toddler classes, I know what truly works in a busy session and, just as importantly, what doesn’t.
How It All Started
I grew up sewing, and when I was running my own classes, I loved inventing props — felt crowns, dinosaur tails… if I could imagine it, I stitched it.
In 2011, I dreamed up something bigger. I wanted to create an ocean that babies could lie beneath, watch and reach up towards. I searched everywhere but couldn’t find anything like it, so I made it myself.
It took over six weeks to sew that very first Sensory Parachute™, but the reaction from the babies and parents was so magical that I was hooked.
In 2024, I found my dream workshop team and released my first design, Rainbow. My aim was and is still simple: to create resources that were not only beautiful, but practical and built to last. The response from class leaders was extraordinary, and one design naturally evolved into the Sensory Parachute™ range.
Made by hand, one ribbon at a time
Every Sensory Parachute™ is designed by me, here in rural Lincolnshire, and entirely hand-finished by the skilled workshop team. It takes eight pairs of hands, plus mine, to make just one: two tailors, a fabric printer, someone dedicated to threading and checking, an overlock tailor, someone cutting fabric, and two people cutting and straightening every single ribbon by hand. Nothing is automated, which is exactly why no two Sensory Parachutes are ever truly identical, each one carries the small, genuine variations you'd expect from something made by real hands rather than a machine.
For Class Leaders Everywhere
My goal is simple: to help you deliver unforgettable classes with resources you can trust.
And if you’ve ever dreamed of running your own classes, my signature training, The Baby Class Blueprint™, shows you the exact steps to set up, launch and thrive. It’s the training I wish I’d had when I first started.
