I’m the designer behind every Sensory Parachute™ and founder of The Baby Class Expert. With over 20 years leading baby and toddler classes, I know what truly works in a busy class and, just as importantly, what doesn’t.

How It All Started

I grew up sewing, and when I was running my own classes I loved inventing props — felt crowns, dinosaur tails, you name it, I stitched it!

In 2011, I dreamed up something bigger: I wanted to create an ocean that babies could lie under, watch, and reach up to. I searched and searched but couldn’t find one anywhere — so I made it myself. It took me over six weeks to sew that very first parachute, but the reaction from the babies and parents was so magical that I was hooked.

In 2024, I partnered with an incredible workshop team and released my very first design, the Rainbow Sensory Parachute™. I wanted to create resources that were not only beautiful, but also practical and built to last. The response from class leaders was amazing, and one design quickly grew into a full collection of Sensory Parachutes™.

Why I Design Sensory Parachutes

Each parachute is a UK Registered Design, made to my exact specifications with over 200 heat-sealed ribbons and reinforced seams.

These are not toys or play parachutes for bouncing balls. They are professional sensory resources, intended specifically to be used by baby class teachers as tools to support early infant development, group connection, and joy.
